A Thanksgiving to Remember
This Thanksgiving was a truly heartwarming chapter in our mission. We successfully distributed 1,000 turkeys, ensuring a joyful Thanksgiving for numerous families. Our Thanksgiving dinner for over 600 migrants and their families was particularly special, providing comfort and community to those new to our city. Overall, we reached over 6,000 individuals, highlighting the impact of our collective efforts.
Embracing the December Spirit
As the holiday season deepens, our focus now turns to December. We’re gearing up for an uplifting event aimed at distributing 5,000 toys and gifts to adults in our community. This initiative is more than a distribution effort; it’s about sharing the magic of the holidays with every member of our community, particularly those who need it most.
Our Year in Review
Our commitment throughout 2023 has been unwavering. With 19 million pounds of food distributed, the initiation of ESL classes, and the establishment of a migrant clothing and coat room, we’ve touched the lives of over 22,000 migrants. These milestones are not just numbers; they represent the real, positive change we’re making in the lives of New Yorkers.
